The NY Senate passed the bill after Assembly did all adults in the back seat must wear seat belt. The current law is both driver and passenger in the front seat must wear seat belt or fac $150 fine with 3 points which will be on the record for 18 months unless five hour class is taken. The bill now lies with Governor Cuomo and expect to sign it to become law. The bill was stalled for more than 10 years.
