Scalpers using Queens public parks for profits

On Monday, April 30, NYC Council reported Queens public parks are being used by greedy scalpers by calling 311 to get permits for fake events. All the permits are for sports fields which then are sold to residents for a profit to use. Usually the scalpers are targeting at the field for parents with children to host sports leagues. The NYC Council is investigating further and advising residents to call 311 for direct permits and call 911 for scalpers.
