SSP westbound and eastbound closed in Elmont

All lanes closed on the Southern State Parkway westbound due to a car fire. This is by Exit 18, Eagle Avenue.

Eastbound is also closed due to a car fire. This is by Exit 17S, Hempstead Avenue.

EMS is checking for injuries. Firefighters are working on the scene.

Heavy delays all around.
