Rush hour robberies spiked in Queens

Police reported armed robberies spiked during rush hour in Queens, the first to occur with the highest incidents. The incidents reported from 5pm on Wednesday to midnight where calls to 911 surged. Less than half of the crime took place in public transit.

Suspects using moped while robbing is another trend in Corona, Jackson Heights and Elmhurst.

After phones, sneakers are the next item on the robbery list.

As for subways, Hillside Avenue and Parsons Blvd was the first slot with the most incidents.

Police are advising people to travel in groups as usual.
