Robbery in Richmond Hill resulted with two police officers shot

Police were called to armed robbery in Richmond Hill at 91-62 120 Street inside T-Mobile near Atlantic Avenue.

When police arrived, one suspect fired shot at police officers. The shooting resulted with suspect shot and two officers.

One officer shot in the leg and the other in the chest. Another officer sustained injury from fell.

The suspect is in custody after barricading inside the store. The officers are being transported to Jamaica Hospital. Police are investigating.

A witness stated it took cops less than a minute to respond to the robbery much surprise to the suspect. The suspect is wanted for more than ten robberies. Another accomplice suspect was stopped at 130 Street and Belt Parkway.

Update - Now confirmed by Chief of Detectives the officer shot in the chest died. The other is in stable condition. The suspect charge has been upgraded to murder of a police officer. Mayor diBlasio is at Jamaica Hospital.
