Robberies continue to spike in Queens

The NYPD is increasing patrols in Queens after robberies continue to spike. For the month of June, over 100 victims were robbed in Queens alone.

Some of the incidents reported are Auburndale on Francis Lewis Blvd and 39th Avenue where a victim was robbed by six suspects on scooters on June 27 around 6pm.

Robbery at knifepoint was the most common incident on Roosevelt Avenue between 108 and 74 Streets late at night, followed by Jamaica.

Queens Blvd reported the latest incident in Forest Hills.

A victim was robbed on Sunday in Auburndale. This is on Utopia Parkway and 45th Avenue around 4:30pm.

Police are advising residents to call 911 or Crime Stoppers with tips.
