Release to spiking burglaries in NHP

The NYPD reported multiple burglaries in one vicinity of the local hospital in New Hyde Park. The latest incident was reported during daytime 77th Avenue and 269th Street where a suspect broke into a home and removed items.

According to local residents, there were intruder alerts frequently happening in the same area within the hospital vicinity for a while and they continued to call the police despite nothing being done. One resident stated hospitals release people after observation and often go door to door for money.

Meanwhile, the hospital is on a roll with construction with advanced facilities. The latest news is $19 million to expand the cancer center.

Local residents are advised to stay alert of their surroundings.
