Reckless endangerment involving arrow in Wantagh

The Nassau County Police Department reports the arrest of a Wantagh man for Reckless Endangerment that occurred on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11:35 AM.

According to Police, First Precinct Officers responded to the Nassau BOCES Rosemary Kennedy Center, 2850 North Jerusalem Road for a suspicious incident. Upon arrival Officers encountered an employee who had been walking into the school when an arrow flew past her head. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Officers conducted a search of the surrounding areas and located defendant Thomas Albanese, 56, of 726 Francis Drive, who had deployed the arrow while practicing archery in his back yard. He was arrested without incident.

Defendant Albanese is charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Hempstead. (From NCPD)
