Queens suspect busted for multiple burglaries in Nassau County

The NCPD reports the arrest of a Queens man that occurred on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:45 am for multiple incidents that occurred in Nassau County.

According to detectives, a thorough investigation determined that Defendant Ingmar Connell, 32, of 145-71 Brookville Boulevard, was responsible for a Burglary at the Cedarhurst Department of Public Works building, located at 5 Hanlon Drive on February 22, 2022 at 12:30 am and multiple motor vehicle thefts that occurred on the following dates:

February 5, 2022 at 2:13 am – County Auto Repair, 661 Burnside Avenue, North Lawrence – 2014 Ford F250

February 22, 2022 at 12:30 am – Department of Public Works, 5 Hanlon Drive, Cedarhurst – 2020 Dodge Ram 550

March 2, 2022 at 6:15 am – K & G Auto Garage, 656 Rockaway Turnpike, North Lawrence – 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Mini Van

March 3, 2022 at 2:30 am – Raymour & Flanigan Warehouse, 55 Johnson Road, North Lawrence – Freight Delivery Truck

March 24, 2022 at 12:30 am – County Auto Repair, 661 Burnside Avenue, North Lawrence – 2011 Infinity M37

Detectives also uncovered that Connell had removed a power washer and equipment from Reis Motors Car Dealership located at 265 Burnside Avenue, on March 1, 2022 at 3:40 am. 

After an extensive investigation, Defendant Connell was located by police at his residence and placed under arrest without incident. At this time, the defendant was found to be in possession of a key fob for the stolen 2011 Infinity M37.

Defendant Connell is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Grand Larceny 2nd Degree, three (3) counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree.  He will be arraigned on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
