Pursuit resulted police involved shooting in the GCP eastbound

For now Grand Central Parkway closed by 108th Street in Corona after pursuit resulted one shot. The officer, NYS Trooper was not injured during the shooting. One suspect in custody. Another took off.

Heavy police personnel on the Grand Central Parkway and its vicinity.

EMS is working to transport the bullet suspect to a local hospital.

It’s a mess there. Avoid that area.

Chopper hovering above.

Ongoing investigation.

Update - This was a checkpoint for DWI and the suspect driver failed to stop on the service road.
