More programs are available for civilians to stand up to protect by taking courses in NYC instead of calling 911. From upstander training to self-defense, all courses are free paid by taxpayers. All you have to do is show up and take practice. Then you are on your way to defend yourself. It's that simple. Check with your local politician's office for the upcoming events. Meanwhile, 7 people were shot overnight in NYC including 3 in Queens from bullets not counting slashings and stabbings.
