All public beaches opens today. Lifeguards are on duty. All are to practice social distancing within 6 feet and wear mask. No masks for going into waters. Park officials are standing by for enforcement.
As for indoor dining, the plan is postponed for July 6 due to higher number of positive cases in other states.
On NYPD budget cut, this is the mayor's response to all, "We're gonna take this moment in history and amplify it by taking the 'Black Lives Matter' symbolism and putting it all over this city, including right in front of Trump Tower." The only reason de Blasio agreed to the NYPD budget cut is due to majority votes in the City Council.
As for crime spike, many members of the City Council is working to hire private guards for their safeties.
Phase 3 starts on Monday in NYC.
For the youths, the summer program, SYEP is open.
