Port Authority working to raise fares for bridges tunnels and airports

The Port Authority will have a voting on September 26 to propose fare hike for bridges, tunnels and airports.

The plans are

Air Train charge from $5 to $7.75, George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel, Outerbridge Crossing, Geothals Bridge and Bayonne Bridge to $1. E-Z will be changed to 25 cents less for peak discount.

The change will bring in almost $5 billion dollars to the capital plan. The current budget is $32 billion.

If approved, the hike will takes place in January.
