Poor poor Union from Main to Langdale

Union Turnpike is the most reported path with traffic lights getting knocked down all the time. The latest one is at the intersection of Francis Lewis Blvd last night around 7pm when a driver jumped the curb knocking down the light to another ongoing vehicle westbound. According to the NYC Dept of Transportation, each light cost around $25,000 including installation. Whoa.

It's ok, taxpayers foot the bill.

Parsons Blvd reported one where a driver heading eastbound knocked down the light. The next one you can see is on the Cross Island Parkway service road from eastbound knocked down now laying down on the grass.

The same incidents continue to repeat from Main Street in Kew Garden Hills to Langdale street in New Hyde Park frequently.

Some speculate DWP, driving while phoning or lack of visibility while turning where drivers often take the next lane frustrating others with cusses or honking. No matter how wide the lanes are, some are not able to turn.

There are no summons issued from NYPD for the accidents but the lights suffered the most being replaced.
