Police officer struck by vehicle on the Whitestone Bridge

Police closed off the Whitestone Bridge reporting a police officer struck by vehicle in a hit and run. This is a state trooper involved. The vehicle a white SUV took off toward the Bronx direction. Chopper and K-9 enroute. Reported the officer was pulled over a vehicle and the suspect took off when approached. Ongoing investigation.
