Police eye ex boyfriend in 21 year old womans fatal shooting in Queens

A 21-year-old woman who moved to New York City to escape an abusive relationship may have been gunned down by a former boyfriend in her new home, police said Thursday.

Investigators believe Deshanna Donavan may have been hunted by a former flame from South Carolina when she was shot multiple times in the head in her apartment building at 26-30 96th Street in East Elmhurst at 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 12, according to the NYPD.
