Please do not feed the rats in the subways

They don't bother you so leave'em alone.

The NYC Mayor's office simply says rats in the subways are not bothersome as long as they are not being fed. That's the difference compared to the NYC logo approved trash bins on the streets of NYC which rats can't get into. If you don't use it, enforcement will rack up dues to the city's financial dept in dire need of more funds.

See that's the difference you all need to learn from the Mayor to combat rats in NYC.

What it means, subways belong to the MTA and they are the Mayor's boss. The Mayor has no control but the MTA along with minimal control from the Governor.

The MTA doesn't have the budget to hire manpower to combat rats despite losing $1 billion on fare evasion in the city.

At the same time, a looney member of the NYS Assembly is moving forth with the bill no rats shall be killed or hurt but dispose of them as leave them be. As for population control, oh well.

Sighs!
