Plane crash with fatality in Long Island

The SCPD reporting a plane crash in Long Island. This is in North Lindenhurst with one dead and multiple injuries. The small plane was heading to the Hamptons when the crash occurred by Wellwood Avenue by 4th Street. EMS is working to transport the injured to local hospitals with chopper landing at the scene.

Heavy rescue involved.

Firefighters are also on the scene.
