Phone numbers are in demand in NYC

Up next, 465 not 456.

465 will be the new area code assigned for NYC due to rising demand of phone number changes with carriers by the consumers.

This is the sixth area code after 347, 917, 646, 718 and the famous one everyone used to dream of getting, 212.

The State Public Commission Service notified of the FCC approval for NYC.

A date has not been issued but all carriers from AT&T, Verizon to T-Mobile will announce the new area code in the coming week.

For Manhattan, only Marble Hill area residents can have the new area code.
