Pedestrian struck by vehicle died in Flushing

Flushing - Police reported a pedestrian struck by vehicle has died of injuries at Flushing Hospital. The incident happened around 8:30pm at 149th Street and 46th Avenue. Sources reported the victim is male, in his 60's was found face down on the road. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police. Update - the driver identified as Wesley Leung, 46 has been taken into custody after reporting of driving while impaired. The victim has been identified as Jinhe Niu, 67. Reported 10pm.
