Pedestrian died after strucks by vehicle in NHP

On Friday around 2:45pm, the NCPD reported a female while walking at the parking lot of Cumberland Farms gas station fell on the ground. Shortly, she was struck by a vehicle inside the parking lot. EMS transported the victim, 78 years old to a local hospital where she died. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

Additional details were not provided including NYPD presence on the scene reported a pursuit with a vehicle stop on the scene.

Detectives are still working on the scene at the New Hyde Park gas station.

The investigation continues.
