Pedestrian critically injured in motor vehicle crash in Lindenhurst

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a pedestrian in Lindenhurst last night. John Esposito was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu westbound on East Hoffman Avenue, near South Smith Street, when his vehicle struck an adult male on June 8 at approximately 9:45 p.m. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was listed in critical condition. Esposito, 57, of Lindenhurst, and his female passenger, were not injured. The investigation is continuing.
