Parking spaces going goin goi go slowly in NYC

After shed and sheds, bike lanes and what's not, more parking spaces are moving to a new program for carshare in the city.

According to the NYC Dept of Transportation Commissioner, .

“Convenient access to carshare frees New Yorkers from the burden of car ownership – while helping to fight climate change. Thanks to

NYC Mayor’s support, we will build on the successes of our pilot program while supporting efficient use of space at the curb.”

This is a new pilot program controlled by three car share companies using all electric vehicles.

As of now, 80 plus curbside parking spaces will be kaput to make way for carshare including Queens.

So what is carshare? In plain English, it's another rental service to drive around NYC at a fee like scooters without the worry of parking spaces due to assigned locations. So in another word, instead of scooters or mopeds, cars are available with you pay as you go.
