Parents begging with children for money

NYC has no laws for parents begging with children for money. However, individual panhandling is illegal and unsafe as per law. If a child is seen panhandling alone, police will take into custody for additional services such as locating parents, possible runaway, alert social services, foster homes, etc. Both NYC and NYS has no laws for using children to panhandle even if there is fraud activities such as swapping child after long time sitting in one place, using an adult with kid, parent using kid for quick cash and etc. Also, NYS has not disclosed the maximum age a child can accompany with an adult for panhandling since there is no such law. This is taken in Glen Oaks after an adult claimed to be parent accompanied by a child.
