One sad day for a family on a quiet block in Flushing

The FDNY and NYPD are at a home in Flushing reporting a domestic violence. EMS reported two people stabbed. From there, the male reported as EDP barricaded inside resulting in fire. The incident was reported on Smart Street near 45th Avenue and Kissena Blvd. The fire marshal reported a fire started in the first floor of a three floor home.

However, the EDP is still inside the home and ESU is working for control. The incident started around 3:30pm when neighbors heard loud noise and called 911.

Police are also working on crowd control on the block.

Neighbors are shocked by the incident.

The investigation continues.

Update - One of the stabbed victim died at the hospital.
