One plus one equals two hundred thousands and growing in NYC

The NYC Mayor's Office stated the number of migrant children attending public schools in the five boroughs is around 40,000. Since their parents pay no taxes since they are being taken care of by taxpayers, the budget for the children is $1.53 billion per year. Since Harris lost the election where teachers campaigned in NYC, the incoming Trump administration has not responded whether to reimburse for federally mandated services in NYC.

This is on top of the 145,000 homeless students living in shelters citywide attending public schools.

This is an increase of 23% due to the affordability crisis and the influx of migrant families.

The high school drop out also rose to 64% making many schools close or change to elementary and middle schools.

Meanwhile, budgets for programs continue to increase despite lack of enrollments. This helps employees do nothing but collect paychecks since there are no participants in classes.

The budget is expected to increase to over $2 billion within this year.
