One part of Central Park to be car free

Starting July, Central Park will be car free below 72nd Street onward. It was part of Central Park Commission the city had to review what's best based on the results of research. Cars will continue to cross 65th Street and also 79, 86 and 97 Streets from east to west. The official date is June 27 with fanfare.
