One of the seven grade crossings of LIRR inaugurated

One of the seven grade crossing is open for business. The ribbon has been cut at the Urban Avenue underpass in New Cassel today. The other six are Covert Avenue, New Hyde Park Road, South 12 Street, Willis Avenue, School Street and Main Street in Mineola. Covert Avenue has been completed while the others are in the preliminary design stage. A date for ribbon cutting for Covert Avenue will be announced soon.
