One in critical condition after vehicle flipped on the LIE

The NCPD reports on a vehicular accident that occurred on the Long Island Expressway on today at 2:42am in North Hills.

According to detectives, police were called for a red 2020 Hyundai Elantra that was found near exit 36 westbound of the Long Island Expressway overturned. Three occupants were reported to have been in the vehicle at the time of the accident and two were transported by a private vehicle to a nearby hospital for treatment and assessment. One occupant is in critical condition at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
