One in Nassau and one in Suffolk starts with homicide trials

Over the weekend, the NCPD reported a dispute involving two roommates inside a home resulted in a stabbing with one dead. The incident shocked neighbors in Elmont where it happened on Sunday around 1pm when cops received a call of stabbing. Shortly police arrested the suspect without incident who is now facing murder charges. In Suffolk County, a stabbing inside a local CVS store shocked Lindenhurst residents where a 23 year old employee was later pronounced dead on Christmas Day. Police say this was a random attack over money after the suspect was taken into custody owing to debts. The 23 year old victim was a promising student with a bright future. The trial starts next month while the investigation continues. A vigil is all set today at Lindenhurst Village Square starts at 6pm to honor the 23 year old victim.
