One dead and one in custody after chase from Nassau to Queens

Nassau County police reported two suspects were on the chase after crime in the act. The chase started in Nassau County and lead to Cross Island Parkway at Linden Blvd and 217 Street. The vehicle hit the building at the intersection and both suspects took off on foot until gunfire erupted. One suspect shot dead and the other suspect is in custody. More than 100 Nassau County police officers are on the scene along with NYPD. This is involving undercover detective who was heading to execute warrant. Heavy delays on Cross Island Parkway in both directions. Chopper notified. Ongoing investigation.
