One dead after home fire in East Elmhurst

Around 1pm, FDNY reported fire at 24-31 96 Street in East Elmhurst. The fire was reported in the second floor of a 2.5 story private dwelling. Two people were taken to hospitals. One person died after medical condition. Firefighters are working on the scene.
