Official test results showing leads in drinking water at NYC public parks

The NYC Dept of Parks and Recreation released a result of lead contamination at its public parks where drinking foundations are located after testing in May 6. In Queens, Cunningham Park leads then Kissena Park. This is part of LeadFreeNYC program by Mayor de Blasio where testings are conducted including NYCHA, the public housing. The primary reason is due to ld pipes connected to the city line according to Marc Edwards with Virginia Tech who helped discover large lead levels in Flint, Michigan. The next test will be conducted on June 14 and continue on regular basis. So far there are no danger to any residents in NYC.
