Not even tunnels are safe but hey crime is down in NYC

This morning before the morning rush hour, the NYPD reported an armed robbery at the Queens Midtown Tunnel toward the Manhattan bound. Police say two suspects, males, black in a sedan stopped a driver in a vehicle while displaying a weapon. Then removed personal belongings and took off on foot until a witness saw the suspects went back inside the same vehicle from identification.

According to the NYPD Commissioner, "We are currently on pace to hire the most cops in a single year in more than 40 years, and the NYPD is shattering crime records across the city."

The commissioner outlined that overall major crime was down 6.5%, shooting incidents were down a staggering 47.6% and shooting victims were down 45.1% and murder dropped by 48.6% compared to October 2024.

No matter what crime is down in NYC despite reporting incidents.
