Northeast Queens to have more bullet spotters

The NYPD shot spotter devices are now adding more towers in northeast Queens due to pursuits and road rages involving bullets.

The service roads of Horace Harding Expressway, Northern Blvd, Union Turnpike, Hillside Avenue and Jamaica Avenue along with service roads of the Cross Island Parkway are also on the list.

Everyday occurrences in NYC are pursuits and sometimes shots fired from vehicles. The Mayor's Office confirmed shot spotters will track bullets for continued investigation.

This one is installed on Union Turnpike near Springfield Blvd where assaults occurs frequently.
