New law in NY authorizing pets to use public transportation during emergency

NYS Governor signed the new law allowing pets to use public transportation in event of evacuation or state of emergency. The bill was introduced after Superstorm Sandy when many people refused to be evacuated without their pets. All state of emergency will be announced by the authorities and personnel will be trained to handle pets in a safe manner. At the same time, residents with their pets are allowed to use public transportation anywhere in NY to their safety.
