New campaign in NYC against illegal automobile idling

Mayor de Blasio invited rocker Billy Idol for a press meet at City Hall against illegal automobile idling. This includes all vehicles of primarily commercial in both electric and gas from idling for more than 3 minutes. The target zones for NYPD traffic agents to start issuing tickets are Chinatown, Port Authority, World Trade Center, Fulton Street, Richmond Terrace, Flushing, Roosevelt Avenue, and Commercial Fordham Road where timing will be recorded before issuing tickets.
