New Hyde Park man s trouble also lands brother in jail

Karan Kejariwal, 32 of Rego Park was arrested on March 15, 2017 after an investigation of harassing and threatening a female victim who was allegedly raped after adding drugs in her drink by his younger brother. That incident happened on March 4th and the female, 31 called police from the Roosevelt Hotel around 7am. After investigation, Varun Kejariwal, 24 of New Hyde Park was taken into custody. On March 5th, Varun was released on $5,000 bail. The next day, Karan, who runs family jewelry business, Dialuster Inc reportedly called and texted the female victim over 40 times to drop the case against his brother by offering $5,000. The victim reported to police and detectives called Karan to the 13th Precint where he surrendered. Karan is charged with witness tampering and other violations releases on $5,000 bail.
