Nassau County acted fast and helped the Woodbury residents

Last night around 1am, firefighters were called to Woodbury Apartment complex for a heavy fire. This is by Fairhaven Blvd in Woodbury. All were evacuated after fire personnel arrived quickly to the scene. EMS transported all the injured to local hospitals. The fire marshal stated seven apartments are damaged and the residents will have to be at a temporary location.

One firefighter was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The fire was reported as a second alarm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
