NYS license plate design selection announced

As of Friday, September 6, NYS Dept of Motor Vehicles announced the survey result of the new license plate design selected from the votes. The winner by 49.7% is the design number 5 shown by the image. The runner up by 14.9% is the Statue of Liberty torch followed by the big Statue of Liberty. The Cuomo bridge and the smaller Statue of Liberty are a tie of 9.7%. 325,000 votes were collected. The plan is being revised by Cuomo after outcry from the opposition in Albany charging people $25.
