NYS has 10 000 tracers and none will visit

Governor Cuomo confirmed the new task of tracers after one tested positive will only call using a single number, 518-387-9993. The state will not call from blocked number, different number or even emergency number. Cuomo is advising all to pick up but not mandatory. The governor's office confirmed there will be no visits by contact tracers from any state or city agencies. Avoid this precautionary measure due to scammers. There are about 10,000 contact tracers with half are active in various regions of the state mostly in the Phase 2. Again, no tracers or testers will visit anyone. If you are not sure, don't open the door.
