NYPD on the hunt for suspects stealing train in Forest Hills

The NYPD reported a group of suspects broke into a subway car and took the R train for a joyride from Forest Hills where it was parked. A transit worker stated the suspects used a key to enter inside the train.

Detectives stated this time the suspects wore all black and then posted on social media of their ride.

The incident was reported on Sunday around 10:15pm when the suspects entered the train yard near Union Turnpike and Grand Central Parkway.

The MTA did not disclose how long the train was rode for and if there were any incidents.

Now the MTA is reviewing a security measurement to add at the yard to prevent it from happening again.

The investigation continues.
