NYPD hunts for suspects after man assaulted robbed twice on Queens subway

The New York City Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in a brutal incident on the Queens F subway line, where a 61-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by one individual, then robbed again by another while he lay unconscious. As reported by PIX11, the attack took place on May 15, around 9:15 p.m. at the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station.

The confrontation began with an argument between the victim and the first suspect, which quickly escalated to physical violence. According to the authorities, the assailant punched and kicked the victim multiple times, rendering him unconscious, and proceeded to steal from his pockets before fleeing, the AM New York Metro detailed. During the man's vulnerable state, a second individual took it upon himself to steal $45 from the victim, exacerbating the distressing circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.

The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The NYPD has released descriptions of the suspects to aid in their capture. The first suspect is described as a 6’2” man with black hair, while the second is characterized by a heavy build. Both men remain at large as investigations continue.

Given the severity of the attack, the police have released images of the alleged perpetrators, seeking assistance from the public. The first suspect was last seen wearing a black vest over a yellow hooded sweatshirt, and the second suspect was identified as wearing a black baseball cap with a Nike swoosh, and a black sweater with an AYA logo.
