NYC woman 24 found beaten to death in home husband questioned cops sources

According to authorities and sources, a 24-year-old woman was discovered beaten to death in her Queens home, and police were questioning her husband, who is said to have called his mother to admit to the crime.

Around 8:30 p.m., in her home on tree-lined Park Drive East close to Jewel Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills, Tania Morales, 24, was discovered unconscious with a cut on her wrist and trauma to her head. Police said on Monday.

Morales' 22-year-old husband claimed he discovered Morales was cheating on him, according to police sources.

Morales was sent to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in severe condition and was subsequently declared dead.

Police were still speaking to Morales' husband as of Tuesday afternoon; he had not yet been formally identified or charged.

Following another alleged domestic murder in Queens, Morales passed away.

Police said that Seraphina Pereira, 35, who had been missing, was discovered dead in a shallow grave in the Rockaways on Saturday. Her boyfriend, Rogelio Lozano-Garita, 26, was charged with fatally shooting her and burying her body.

Law enforcement sources claim that after the violence, he allegedly called his mother and told her that his wife had tried to stab him before he hit her with a pole.
