NYC snitch line is getting worse by day

The snitch line to text violators of social distancing has two problems. Psychological counseling for the city staff seeing lewd photos filtering before sending out to local precincts. Police are being sent out to locations with dead ends. Police must enforce when the incident occurs and not when the presumed violators are gone. So far, 7,581 were reported and police ordered to stay apart within 6 feet. From March 17 to April 20, around 200 fines were issued after verbal escalated to argument resulting disorderly conduct. Most of the incidents were related to family or friends gatherings and tourists. As of April 24, almost 20,000 text messages were sent to the 311 text line for not practicing social distancing. Out of that, half had to be filtered due to nudies and other vulgar images. The mayor has no plan to discontinue this operation as he says its necessary for safety in NYC.
