NYC is everyday bullets day

Every day there are shootings in NYC streets. It's unofficially called everyday bullet day.

For last weekend from Friday to Monday early morning 22 people were shot adding to 561 people with bullets for this year.

A man was shot in the head at a recording studio in Queens early Monday morning. Police were called to the scene on Wyckoff Avenue in the Ridgewood section of the borough at around 1:25am and later died for the homicide in Queens.

For Monday, more stabbings and slashings than bullets but shots fired in multiple locations.

The Mayor stated shooting drops by 30% in May. 118 shooting incidents for May 2022 compared to 172 in May 2021. Great news but other crimes from carjacking to sexual assaults skyrocketed.

As for public transportation incidents, 4,281 people were assaulted, smacked, punched, slashed and pushed including subways.

Last night around 12:30am, an MTA bus driver was stabbed and slashed after stopping a man who tried to enter through the back door.

Meanwhile cars are causing more problems in the city with an average of 275 accidents a day in the city which is a huge concern for local council members who all travel by cars except for photo ops using public transportation. The other issue is promoting love with more programs including housing than jails managed by nonprofits funded by the city. These two are the main issues for NYC, not crimes.
