NYC Council members added their names to cut NYPD budget

The following NYC Council members added their names to the city's budget to cut funding to NYPD including recruitment, overtime and limit the operation of the academies.
Donovan Richards, Adrienne Adams, Antonio Reynoso, Brad Lander, Vanessa Gibson, Carlos Menchaca, Carlina Rivera, Helen Rosenthal, Jimmy Van Bramer and Daniel Dromm.
According to Corey Johnson, the speaker, 16 more needed for the majority to pass the bill. This came after anti-NYPD activists demands cut to use the budget for COVID crisis in NYC.
