NYC Comptroller released data on the need for undocumented drivers in NYC

NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer who is running for Mayor of NYC released data on why the need for driver license for undocumented people.

Stringer stated the city will generate $11.6 in annual sales tax, $34 million in recurring annual income for NYS, NYC and MTA, improve public safety and keep families together.

On Wednesday, NYC Council passed a resolution to draft the legislation to be introduced as a law.

If passed, 725,000 undocumented people in NYC will have valid driver licenses.
