NY schools can open for September

Governor Cuomo announced in today's press statement that all NY schools can open on September. This is due to low infection rates in NY including NYC. As of today, NYC stands at 1.03 ratio and Long Island at 1.12%. As long as ratio remains below 3%, schools will remain open. If the ratio is above 3%, then a new guideline will be enforced. At the same time, all school districts must submit plans for the state review from remote learning, testing/tracing, discussion sessions with parents and community and separate discussion with teachers alone by submitting online. All schools will provide masks and should be worn. Of 749 districts in NYS, 127 has not submitted their re-opening plans and 50 were incomplete. However, its up to each school district to open or delay depends on the management and remote learning is also allowed. The state health dept also released rules after showing signs of symptoms.
NOTE - Schools open and fed will not stop the funding which both NYS and NYC need badly.
