NY real industry won TRO for broker fees

The NY State Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the new law of landlord paying commission to brokers and agents instead of tenants. The lawsuit was brought by powerful lobbyists group of real estate. As of today, brokers and agents can collect commissions from tenants and not landlords until the court decides. This is a temporary victory for the brokers and agents.
